8/2/08 02:55 pm - CORBIIIIIIIINOkay. So I haven't updated in FOREVER. I should mention some pretty freaking awesome things.
*So I got the Outstanding Junior Award in Science last year. Oh that was so awesome! I'm pretty much one of the top Science students at my school and aaaaaah. I feel so special. ♥ This year if I get the Outstanding Senior Award in Biology (or maybe Chemistry) I get a scholarship! Even if it IS only worth $25! HAHA. *I'm working at an actual research laboratory this summer. And not cleaning mice cages or washing dishware either, like actually contributing as an intern to research and working on some pretty epic stuff. My lab is researching Parkinson's disease and let me tell you, there's so much to these diseases that you wouldn't even think about! Like how PD doesn't just affect the brain but also your sense of smell (well I guess the olfactory system is kinda sorta close to/part of the brain but anyway) and your enteric nervous system (intestines). Craziness. Just craziness. I'm so glad to have this opportunity, this is what I wanna do with my life for sure. *I went to Girls State. Which was fun. I hated Government/Politics going into it and I still don't like either but it really opened my mind to subjects that I really should care about (such as the presidential race!) and it got me started for my AP Government class this year so. Plus I met so many awesome girls! It was a great experience. *I saw my first concert (shut up) last Tuesday and it was for someone I'd never heard about. Chris Cagle. He's a country music singer and I'm not really a fan of country (I guess being in Montana where there's too much country and it's normal to see people wearing cowboy hats and boots... ah hell. I have a pair of cowgirl boots myself and I love them) but! Seriously, I LOVED that concert. I really do like his music now and I put a bunch of it on my iPod. Good stuff, and he's pretty cool. *Did I mention I got a new iPod? No? Well iLucky died from age and I got a red iPod nano. <3 She's iDeli, short for iDelicious like a Red Delicious Apple. >3< *lame* *I freaking love The Office. I just bought Seasons 1-3 and I plan to have an Office Marathon with my friends before school starts. Totally my favorite TV show ever. I can't wait until I can buy Season 4 and Season 5 starts on NBC! *Oh yeah I've been working on Marimo lately. I want Chapter 4 done darnit. Also his little LJ is up and running! *Possibly the news that has me stoked the most right now is the fact that I'm going to my second concert ever (shut up again) for Corbin Bleu tomorrow. Holy crap why the hell is he coming to Montana, of all places?! But I shouldn't complain! I guess it's not a huge secret that I love High School Musical but I really do and even though Corbin's character Chad is not my favorite... I mean come on! He's Corbin-freaking-Bleu. Hell yes I'm going to see him. My friend and I are making shirts (blue shirts of course) and we're going to get there like three hours early to try and get front row spots (the concert is general admission! It's like they were taunting me) and we're going to spazz like the fangirls we are and will probably some of the oldest girls there but CORBIN BLEU. SERIOUSLY. So I guess that's it. :D I'm not trying to brag, seriously, I'm just amazed with how wonderful my life has been these past months. There were a ton of bad/total suckage things that happened too, but hey you don't want to hear about those, now do you? |
2/9/08 09:41 pm - *SOB*BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWW YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
I spent FOREVER looking through over a hundred Mariah Carey songs to find which one I heard on the radio and could. Not. Find. It. Only to realize it was sung by Christina Aguilera. Such is the struggle of my life. Seriously though. I wasted maybe an hour of otherwise productive time searching for a song under the wrong artist. Dammit. >3< |
1/18/08 01:49 pm - You've got much more than Mother ever had.So I survived finals week of the hardest year of my life!! !!! Seriously. Never before have I seriously cried over schoolwork or crap like that until I hit Junior year. I'm coming close to that spontaneous combustion I mentioned before! However, I braved semester finals fantastically. There's still two classes I haven't gotten my results from yet (English and akdjfafjlksdjffMATH) and I'll just have to wait for them, but my other tests turned out great! I got a 94% in French (expected |D), 92% on my AP US History essay (well that was a pleasant surprise. No, seriously!), another 94% for Biology (what surprises me the most is I'm one of about five people who got 90% or above in all of my teacher's six classes. I mean seriously. This isn't even advanced Bio! I counted ten people in my class alone who got 69% or lower. *shakes head*), and oh my God. I seriously got a 96% for my Chemistry final. HONORS Chemistry. Ninety-six percent!! One of the highest grades in the whole class! It'd be a lie to say that didn't swell my ego just a tad. You can't guess how proud that made me. I'm not too worried about English, since I think the essay I wrote for the final was sufficient enough to maintain a good grade. XD Math though. Ugh. Math is kicking my butt this year so bad and I'm sitting at a 78% before the test (first C in my life! ;-;!) and I'm hoping and praying that my test is good enough to maybe bump it to a low B? Please God! I've worked so hard! D: But yeah. That was my week. Just thought I'd let you know I'm not dead after all! 8D ~*~*~*~ We're going to Vegas over Spring break again! I think that's become an annual tradition now. |D Well, at least Mom and I love the church we found right off the strip. And guess who we're going to go see while we're there! Ray Romano!! Omg Everybody Loves Raymond has to be my favorite sitcom television show ever. XD I'm so excited to be in the same BUILDING as him, let alone watch him perform live. Awesomeness. I'm in the middle of changing my journal layout from "SUPER SECRET AGENTZ!!11!!" to "OMG CHOPPERMAN!!!11" while my Marimo journal's taking over the black-green agent theme. Hopefully this time I'll actually make the layout special. |D Uhm. I'll shut up now. Bye. :D |
1/7/08 04:24 pm - THIS TIME I KNOW IT'S FOR REEEEEEEAL~iTunes just played two Queen songs in a row.
Huh. Went back to school last Thrusday. Ugh. I'm up to my head with work for it and dance. :C This week's the crosstown game and our performance should be a fun one (Soulja Boy dance... both WTF and FTW). As dorky/overused/stupid/hated as that song as become, I think it'll be fun. XD Christmas was pretty good last year (totally forgot to LJ it lawls). I got a Letterman's jacket (FREAKING AWESOME MAN butreallyhot), a cute black jacket, a trampoline (FTW!!), Sims 2 Bon Voyage (MORESIMSYAY), and oh God. I've been playing Elite Beat Agents. Non. Stop. I love that game so much. And Hairspray. And The Producers (why in hell haven't I gotten that before? XD). And Ratatouille. And Harry Potter: OtP. Yay home theater time! I really liked I Am Legend. The ending was a little "...huh?" but I still really liked it a lot. But I'd say it's definately more one of those theater-going movies rather than renting. I think movie theaters make scary(-ier) movies a lot more fun. Yeah. Back to Louis IX and matrices! Heh. Heh. Heheheh... *shoots homework* Okay. Maybe not the matrices. I kinda like those. |
12/24/07 03:44 pm - lolbonjour 8DJoyeux Noel, everyone!
I really don't have much to say other than the fact that I'm so fuh-reaking glad to be on Christmas vacation. D| Hate you school. Hate you so much right now. By the way. Episode 336 of One Piece. Just made MY ENTIRE YEAR. |
11/26/07 09:45 pm - IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIIIIIIIIME~HAY GUYS.
GUESS WHAT. Marimo's got its own little LJ now. As of today, there's nothing on it. XD; But everything related to Marimo will go there. There's gonna be a chapter status page, question page, request page, and bunches of Onigiri!verse one-shots and drabbles and stuff. Plus drawings. If I ever get brave enough. XD So yeah. XD Anything you could ever want to know (AND MORE~!) about my story will soon be located there. Peace out, A-Town Down. *poses* XD; |
11/9/07 03:36 pm - LIEK WHOA.HE.
SAID. YES. *cry-explodes* |
11/8/07 05:48 pm - He-here we go! 8D;I'm so nervous right now I could either cry, puke, jump out a window, or all the above.
So there's this school dance coming up, right? Yes, right. It's MORP, which is the opposite of Prom. Girl-ask-guy, matching t-shirts, very informal, the like. So like. Everyone and their dog is trying to convince me to ask the guy I have the biggest crush on to the dance. We slow danced at the Homecoming dance! >3< And... I finally caved. I made a little thing asking him to go with me and I'll... give it to him... tomorrow... UGH. NERVOUS. BREAKDOWN. I hope he says yes. ;-; |
10/25/07 07:42 am - Hey, Baby, you look like you could use a STIFF ONE. :DMan I love Hairspray. |D
Anyway. Just killing some time before I gotta leave. Tomorrow's the big cross-town football game, and we're performing halftime with the opposing school's Drill Team. So we get to skip the first half of today to go practice with them. XD The funny thing is, I technically don't need to be there until 9 this morning, and my first class ends like, a little before 9. I'm excused from it anyway! Lawls. The pep assembly is gonna be fun tomorrow. Just you wait. I love the gangster routines. *dork'd* Okay. Marimo related stuff: *Chapter 4 has been started, but I'm not really far into it. XD; I'm still hoping to finish it in the next few weeks, but we'll see how busy I get. *glares at homework* *I'm thinking I'm going to make a whole separate journal for Marimo. I already have written several one-shots for it and conceived an idea for another, shorter story from someone else's POV that I could just compile onto a separate journal. XD Yeah, it'd probably be better that way; I wouldn't overload my few friends' pages with Marimo!stuff. Well. Wish me luck on the two routines I gotta do tomorrow. XD *whoosh* |
10/23/07 08:46 pm - Double-You Tee EFFOkay.
So I know this is almost a whole week late since the episode premiered last Thursday buuuuut... What the hell happened to Justin on Ugly Betty?! He turned... straight... |
10/7/07 04:35 pm - DANCE DANCETHESE ARE SO MUCH FUN. OH MY GOD. That's my iPod-human hybrid Apple by the way. His girlfriend's a Wii. XD EDIT: Awww, it doesn't show his click wheel! *pout* Go here to see it bigger and with his click wheel. XD |
9/30/07 06:54 pm - Oh... My... God.Dear FUNi,
I freaking love you. I cannot express how much love I have for you for rescuing One Piece. You've improved it so much that I actually found myself dumbfoundedly smiling at the television for a whole half hour. Thank you for including the original music. I love OP's music score so much and the fact that you kept it in makes me extremely happy. Thank you also for dubbing Hikari E! The English version sounds almost identical to the original, and the lyrics are great. Thank you for doing a better job with voice casting. Usopp's is spot-on, Luffy's is great, I love Robin's, and Nami's fits well. Chopper's seems just a tad high-pitched/girly, but otherwise works well, and Sanji's is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than his old one, even though it seems a little off for what I would've imagined. Zoro's is also good, though it sounds a little deep and might have to grow on me. XD Thank you for no unnecessary accents! Thank you for MUCH better and pun-free dialog! Thank you for no unnecessary edits! Thank you for picking up One Piece! Marry me now. Yes, my computer hath returned. It's still being terribly bitchy though. :C |
9/16/07 06:12 pm - Oh Snaps.So. 8D Last Friday was my first performance EVER with the Drill Team. At a football game. Omg. I will never forget that night for the rest of my life.
How we stood standing straight with our arms plastered to our sides and huge toothy smiles on our faces and our coach saying, "DAMMIT. They stopped the clock AGAIN!" And the announcer saying, "Stay in your seats everyone!" and the band playing cadence as we marched (hella quickly, might I add) onto the field as the whole crowd just cheered. And they cheered loudly. And even though the music was quiet, we went right into our routine and we did it flawlessly. The crowd cheered louder when we did heel-stretches (wtf, in retrospect. Of all the things to clap for lawls), kicks, the Hip-Hop part, and the splits. They loved the splits. And for the first time I went flat in them and they didn't hurt at all. The second routine we did (our school song) was a train-wreck. It would've ruined my night but our coach (who can be pretty damn mean when she wants to be) would not stop telling us how proud she was. And even after that performance that was incredibly messed up and made us wanna cry and puke and blame everything on the band, the crowd still cheered like no tomorrow and we even gave them high-fives as we walked by below them. I cannot wait until our next performance. There really is nothing like having hundreds of people cheering just for you and your team. My betch of a computer should be returning sometime between tomorrow and Friday. 8) Yay! All that was left last Thursday was copying everything onto the new hard-drive and mother-board, so I should be getting it very, very soon! |
9/6/07 04:17 pm - Take 49 Steps Right Up to Seventh Heaven!Okay. I'll nicely divide everything up here, lawls.
( lolSchool ) ( lolComputer ) ( lolMarimo ) So yeah. That's life. ... That's what all the people say. You're riding high in April, shot down in Ma- *shot down* |
8/28/07 04:33 pm - Back to School. |DTomorrow I go back to school. |B I'm happy I finished all of my homework before 10:00 tonight! YAY! I'm proud of myself for not procrastinating as bad as I usually do. I'm excited for tomorrow. I'm glad to be going back. <3
Heheh. By the way. My computer's pretty much fried. Yup. Dead. I might even have to get a whole new one, it's in such bad condition. I'm hoping it can be fixed, but in any case, I won't be having a computer for a loooooong while. >> I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Hard drive is still okay and that I won't lose EVERYTHING like I did two years ago. Because of this horrid computer status, I have not been able to even start Chapter 4 of Marimo. ;3; But fear not! I shall resort to writing it on paper if I must. I have many concepts and ideas for it I don't wanna lose. Lawls, I might work on some drawings for Marimo too. >3 Maybe. We'll see if school doesn't eat me first. Drill too. Damn both of them, even though I love them so. Wish me luck and help pray for my computer! XD |
8/3/07 02:07 pm - Aaaaaaahhhhh, Because the World is Round...I went to the rodeo last night. |D It was a lot of fun, actually. Mom paid a little extra money to get us in the reserved seats and they were SO. MUCH. NICER than the general seating. Omg. You get to sit at a table, it's not crowded AT ALL, and the reserved seating area has its own private concession stand and bathrooms. Plus it was in the shade and the view was pretty nice. That was the second rodeo I've been to in my life and I live in Montana. Hmm. That's a shame.
Anyway. XD I had a lot of fun at the fair last Friday night. Stacy drug me onto the Octopus/Spider ride for the first time in my life, and even though it didn't look bad at all, I was absolutely terrified the WHOLE ride. I clutched onto the bar with like, a death grip and when we finally got off, my hands were sweating like crazy and they were stuck in a curled position. XD But it was a whole lot of fun. We must've gone on the Tilt-a-Whirl four or five times. I love that ride. <3 HAHA. Marimo will (read:should) be updated tonight, if I can talk to Ni-chan to have her proof it so I can post it. I did end up having to rewrite the whole chapter, but I think I like it better than the one before. My forgetfullness (or possibly vauge stupidity) can have SOME benefits! In any case, I leave tomorrow for the Drill/Dance Camp. I shall be gone until Wednesday or maybe even Thursday, then I leave on Friday to go to Washington for school shopping. Joy! I must fill up iSpaz with OP eps to keep me entertained~ Because God knows I don't wanna read my book for English. D| Lawls. See ya later~ |
7/27/07 02:23 pm - *GROWL*UGH.
A damn computer virus was (and still is, I'm convinced) eating up my system. >> I didn't lose anything, and I hopefully won't, but I don't know how to get rid of it. I gave it to my mom's friend for a week and a half (He's part of the supercool Geek Squad 8D) and he fixed... part of the problem. But something's still wrong because all these strange error messages keep showing! I was miserable without my comp for over a week. D| Well, next week I go to a Dance Camp with the Drill Team, maybe I'll give it back to him then. In any case. I freaking MISPLACED the finished version of the third chapter of Marimo. If I don't find it, I'll have to re-write it. Ah well, at least I remember what happened. >> I still need Ni-chan to proof it. Hm. On a happy note: THE FAIR STARTS TONIGHT. JOY! My friend Stacy's taking me and I'm staying overnight with her. She likes all the scary rides though. D: But someone else is coming, so maybe she'll go with her! And not me! :D I don't like going upside down. *cry* I DEMAND that whoever reads this sees Hairspray if they haven't already. It's one of the best musicals EVER. |
7/6/07 01:57 pm - *dead*Got back from France LATE last Saturday night. Had the time of my life! Tired as hell from jet lag. The best story from the trip was when Shane accidentally punched Brandon in the nuts. XD; That country is amazing. ♥ I think I might have to go back. There's supposed to be another trip my Senior year - I may go if I think I can get enough money myself. XD
I had the nicest host family EVER. They understood my severely picky eating habits and fed me a lot of bread and cheese, my two favorites. c: My host sister, Laura, sang Barbie Girl ALL THE TIME. I couldn't stop laughing. (They LOVE American music, which I thought was the weirdest thing) And they took me bowling. And they gave me copies of the movie and the soundtrack for Moulin Rouge. They are the nicest people, I miss them so much. ;3; I made it into Leadership High School! Chouette! Now I get to skip school one Wednesday a month to talk to people about problems in the city and how we can resolve them. |D July Fourth was fun. We went to the parade then to the Baseball game to watch the fireworks. Nothing else. Oh yeah. D: Huge spider problem at my house. I don't even wanna explain how big this one spider I found right outside my bedroom door was. Then one that was half its size but was still pretty damn big showed up. Freakin' A. Thank GOD those pest guys came in this morning or else I'd have been found dead in the next week or so. D: |
6/8/07 04:21 pm - Au Revoir, Mes Amis!I'm leaving for France at about 9-ish tomorrow morning. :D! I'll be gone until the 26th. I'll try to update my LJ while I'm there, but I have no idea how much time I'll have to even sit down and use a computer. XD
Anyway! I'll miss you, Glory-chan, Ni-chan! I'll be thinking of you and I'll take so many pictures that it'll make my camera explode! :D So~ ♥ Au revoir, mes amis! Je vous verrai bientôt! ♥ |
